Introducing Leica. Vancouver, Canada.

Lukas got a new toy: a mint Leica M8 fully manual camera. Here are some of the first few shots!

Bakin' Cake. Vancouver, Canada.

What better way is there to spend a Saturday night than baking a cake, drinking red wine and playing monopoly with some of your favorite people? Lilac, Lukas and myself did just that! We forgot to add eggs to the cake mix and only realized after the cheesecake had been in the oven for ten minutes. You can see us adding eggs a little too late below. However, the cake was still decent and we enjoyed it thoroughly as we passed GO, landed IN JAIL and bought numerous properties!

Home. Vancouver, Canada.

My roomates made me cupcakes! How sweet is that?

I've been home for exactly a week. I went through a few days of jetlag and my sleep pattern was upside down. Trust me, it is boring being wide awake at 4 am when the rest of the house is asleep. My sleep cycle is back to normal again. Well back to MY normal. Those of you who know me well know how much I tend to sleep... it's slightly excessive...

I am looking for work but finding the job market in Vancouver is rough at the moment. I heard on the radio the other day that unemployment is at a low 8%. I find that hard to believe because it seems job's are scarce and competition is high. I have two interviews next week and my fingers are crossed.

It's good to be home!

Fashion? Kuta, Bali.

Judy and I ventured out to Kuta for an evening of reggae music. We were grooving to some sweet Marley tunes when all of a sudden the music stopped and a voice came over the speaker system telling us to clear the dancefloor. We were confused! We were even more confused when young women came strutting into the club wearing lingerie and beach wear. Apparently this "fashion show" is a nightly event. The wierdest part about it was that the club was not promoting any particular designer or even selling the items. It was basically just entertainment for the men in the audience.
